As Masons we spend much our time learning,
memorizing and or filtering though the
knowledge we seek or that is presented to us. It
is very easy for a Brother to become entangled
within the things and knowledge he finds
amongst the Fraternity and the Ritual, so much
so that he finds himself in danger of drifting
away from his core self.
When I was in trade school my Father taught me
“No matter what you do don’t stop being you,
bring your you to the job at hand”. It did not
sink into my then teenage mind until many years
later, Thanks Pop for teaching me to let me be
me. I think many Brothers out there can find
solace in implementation of the same. It is our
individual persona that bring life and heart to
not only the Fraternity but to our Lodge as well.
My Brothers be you and not what you think you
should be. God created you in his image and it is
up to you to stay on his path, but forget not
when you walk that path as the true you, you
shall not stumble for your Brothers will be there
to support and even carry you if need be.
Be well my Brothers and I will see you in the
“Good-Bye OT, until we meet again”.
