I hope and pray this message finds you and your
family well and in good health.
In my search for Light to be imparted I sought the
advice of some past messages of which I and others
had written. All of the material of which I had opened
covered a large range of topics but one major
recurring theme: “Things that are or will become a
danger to our respective Lodges”. Those who have
sat in Lodge with me, or even just spent a little time
with me, know that I am not a big fan of people,
especially Brother Masons, with egos and the idea
that they deserve something without doing the work.
We are all servants of the Lodge and rightfully so.
She is our Mother, she looks after us, brings us
together and gives us a place to become the Men that
God created us to “Be”. I myself am of the opinion
that there are three things that are just complete
poison to moral in a Lodge. The first is “I did this
and I did that” Brother. This type of speaking does
nothing to help or teach your fellow Brethren, it is an
act of superiority. The second is the “I deserve to be
this or that” Brother. My Brothers I cannot speak for
everyone but my Father taught me early in life” If
you don’t do the work you can’t reap the benefits”.
The third item is the act of sloth, the “We should, you
should but don’t ask me or Oh I don’t know how to
do that or I don’t have time for that”. Just a thought
on my part but it should be the goal of a Brother to
not only say” We, Us” but to think it too. Be well my
brothers, I leave you with this quote from Booker
Washington and I will see you in and about the
Apartments of the temple.
“There are two ways of exerting one's strength: one is
pushing down, the other is pulling up.”
